Big dogs, little horse

Stormwarning  a.k.a. Kaber is such a cool horse, he’s almost like a dog.

My little "rhinoceros" was just shy of 15 hands, but he seemed bigger because of his attitude – he’s the little horse with inner bigness! A go anywhere, do anything kind of guy. Surefooted and well-behaved, but not without a healthy amount of brattiness!   I could trust him to take me anywhere without incident.  In the mountains, on the road, parade, show ring, English, Western, jumping, shoeing, vetting, hauling....I never realized just how good a horse he was until he was gone. I miss you Kaboo!

Yes, these are all the same horse pictured from 3 years – 13 years old. I wish I had taken more pictures of him.

Kaber was not registered, so I didn't know his exact age. We think he was in his early 20's when he passed on.  He was still growing and loosing teeth when I got him!  Best 500 bucks I ever spent.
